Damon Harrison

Jets' Damon Harrison drawing the attention of Washington

The Washington Redskins have interest in free agent nose tackle Damon Harrison, the Washington Post expects.

What It Means:

With Terrance Knighton not expected back, the Redskins are a potential landing spot for Harrison. Harrison is the top run stopper available and would upgrade a defensive line that allowed 4.8 yards per carry last year. Free agent Ian Williams could also be a fit for Washington.

The run-stuffer known as "Snacks" put up a career-high 72 combined tackles in 2015, as well as 0.5 sacks and one forced fumble. Washington tied for 11th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play in 2015, but Harrison's Jets were far and away the best in the league in this metric.
