Jared Goff (thumb) "limited" for Rams Monday
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff (thumb) was listed as limited for the team's Monday practice.
Goff suffered an injury to his thumb at the end of the season that require surgery, and while he wasn't expected to play in Sunday's Wild Card Round game against the Seattle Seahawks, and injury to backup John Wolford necessitated that he take back over. Head coach Sean McVay has insisted that the team had kept Goff active in case of emergency for Saturday's game, but that emergency actualized when Wolford suffered a devastating injury and was forced from the game. Goff was fine in relief of Wolford and will likely start on Sunday.
Goff is still recovering from surgery to repair his thumb, but was able to throw for an adjusted 9.21 yards per attempt in the team's playoff win against the Seahawks. Now another week removed from his surgery, Goff is likely to start as the Rams take on the Green Bay Packers.
