Kellen Winslow attempting an NFL comeback

Free agent tight end Kellen Winslow confirmed he is attempting an NFL comeback in a radio interview.

What It Means:

"My body feels good enough to come back and play at a high level, even better I think because I'm just a little wiser," Winslow said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "I want to be a better player than I was before. I think I can." Winslow tweeted out his intentions in January, and it appears he remains set on returning to the NFL. Going on 33, Winslow has not played an NFL snap since he caught 31 passes for the Jets in 2013. Winslow was a dynamic weapon in his day, but he has chronic knee issues and has been out of the game for a long time. It would be surprising if he finds a home this offseason.

In 2013, his last NFL appearance, Winslow put together 31.69 Reception Net Expected Points on 47 targets.
