Chargers' Justin Jackson reportedly working as No. 2 back thus far

Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson is gearing up to be the No. 2 option at the position, according to Fernando Ramirez of Sports Illustrated.

What It Means:

Jackson was placed on the COVID-19 list just over a week ago, but he's since been activated and is a full participant in practice. "Jackson has been taking a lot of the higher-up reps. He has taken advantage and shown out," Ramirez wrote. "If he stays healthy, he will be second in command behind Austin Ekeler." While it's still early in the process, this would hurt Joshua Kelley's workload.

Our models currently project Jackson for 403.63 rushing yards on 91.33 carries with 2.37 touchdowns. They also earmark him for 13.73 catches on 18.63 targets for 99.12 yards and 0.83 scores.
