Chiefs list Mecole Hardman as No. 2 wide receiver
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman is listed as the No. 2 receiver on the first unofficial depth chart of the season.
Hardman and Tyreek Hill are listed as the two starting wideouts, with Demarcus Robinson behind Hardman and Byron Pringle backing up Hill. Hardman played 45.3% of the Chiefs' offensive snaps last season and finished a distant third on the team with a 10.1% target share. The offseason departure of Sammy Watkins should lead to more opportunities for Hardman, whom has reportedly made "sizable improvements" in route running, catching, and overall demeanor. Per Fantasy Football Calculator, Hardman's current ADP is 9.12 and WR43 in PPR formats.
Hardman ranked 44th in Reception Net Expected Points per target last season, among the 131 pass-catchers with at least 50 targets last season. He is currently the WR49 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings and our models project Hardman for 88.2 targets, 55.5 receptions, 806.5 yards, and 5.18 touchdowns in 2021. 55.51 88.24 806.49 5.18
