Drew Lock to start Broncos' first preseason game
Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock will start in the team's first preseason game.
The Broncos will open exhibition play against the Minnesota Vikings this coming Saturday, and the 2019 Second Round pick will get the start, according to head coach Vic Fangio. This isn't necessarily a surprise, but veteran Teddy Bridgewater remains a threat to earn the starting job. We'll see if the first preseason game gives any further indication into this competition.
In 13 games last season, Lock completed 254 of his 443 passing attempts for 2,933 yards and 16 touchdowns with 15 interceptions. He also added 160 yards and 3 scores on the ground.
