Packers' Za'Darius Smith (back) uncertain for Week 1 clash with Saints
Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Za'Darius Smith (back) "could potentially" miss Week 1's game against the New Orleans Saints, according to Matt LaFleur.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, LaFleur said "He's injured right now. I know he wants to be out there, but we're going to be smart with him." Smith's absence would be a major loss for a Packers defense ranked twelfth-best in numberFire's team power rankings. Smith played all 16 games for Green Bay last season, recording 35 tackles and 13 sacks.
The Packers have an implied win probability of 54.3% against the Saints in Week 1, according to numberFire's models.
