Eagles' Quez Watkins working in slot with starters
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins is working as the starting slot receiver at practice.
Watkins has been working out of the slot with the first team and Chris Franklin of NJ.com writes that the 2020 first-rounder is "taking advantage of the opportunity." It looks like Watkins will line up with Devonta Smith and Jalen Reagor in three-wide sets, ahead of Greg Ward. The Eagles start their season against the Atlanta Falcons on September 12.
Watkins has a $4,600 salary on FanDuel in Week 1. numberFire's models project him for 1.9 targets and 14.9 yards. Watkins ranked 83rd, out of 165 receivers with at least 10 targets last year, in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
