Pittsburgh Steelers running back Anthony McFarland Jr. has been placed on injured reserve due to an unknown injury.

What It Means:

McFarland missed the final preseason game with an injury and has now been placed on injured reserve. He will first be eligible to return for Week 4's game against the Green Bay Packers. With McFarland sidelined, Kalen Ballage and Benny Snell will serve as backups to rookie Najee Harris in Pittsburgh's backfield.
