Ravens reportedly put in Royce Freeman claim
The Baltimore Ravens put in a waiver claim on running back Royce Freeman, reports Field Yates of ESPN.
The Carolina Panthers landed Freeman, but the Ravens' interest is notable following J.K. Dobbins' season-ending knee injury. They may have just simply been looking to add depth behind Gus Edwards or a more capable option on third downs, but it could also mean the Ravens aren't as confident in their new lead back as head coach John Harbaugh previously implied. Baltimore begins their season on Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Edwards is the RB19 in numberFire's Week 1 fantasy rankings and our models project him to score 12.7 FanDuel points in Week 1 versus the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
