Gus Edwards reportedly tears ACL at Ravens practice
Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during Thursday's practice, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Edwards and defensive back Marcus Peters reportedly suffered significant knee injuries on back-to-back plays. It looks like the Ravens' backfield has now lost Edwards, J.K. Dobbins, and Justice Hill within just a matter of weeks. Ty'Son Williams is the expected starter for Week 1 versus the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night, with Le'Veon Bell also factoring in.
numberFire's models projected Edwards for 14.9 carries in Week 1. Williams rushed 24 times for 130 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore's three preseason games, and he earned the sixth-best rushing grade from Pro Football Focus among all preseason running backs.
