Steelers' Dionatae Johnson (knee) avoids long-term injury
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (knee) "did not suffer a serious injury" Mike Garafalo of the NFL reports.
Garafalo adds that the young receiver's status for Week 3 is still up in the air, but fortunately for now it looks like Johnson will return sooner rather than later. Johnson appeared to suffer a non-contact injury on the very last play of Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and had to be helped off the field, so there were serious concerns about his health following the game.
Johnson led the Steelers' receivers in most receiving categories Sunday, catching 9 of his 12 targets for 105 scoreless yards. If he does miss any time, expect JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool to see a bump in targets from Ben Roethlisberger.
