49ers' Brandon Aiyuk playing time on rise
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) played the second-most snaps among the team's receivers in Week 3.
Aiyuk spent the first two weeks of the season recovering from a hamstring injury and earning his job back from Trent Sherfield, but appeared to re-establish himself as one of the team's best receiver's in Week 3's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Only Deebo Samuel played more snaps and ran more routes than Aiyuk.
Aiyuk looked healthy enough in Week 3, catching 4 of his 6 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown while adding 8 yards on a carry. He's unlikely to unseat Samuel as the team's top option considering how hot Samuel has started this season, but could battle with George Kittle to become the team's second option in the passing game.
