Bucs' Giovani Bernard "day-to-day" with a sprained MCL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Giovani Bernard suffered an MCL injury in the team's Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and is considered day-to-day.

What It Means:

Bernard was heavily involved in the Bucs' passing game in Week 3 as the Bucs trailed for the majority of the game. His preseason ankle sprain led to Bernard starting the season off slow, but he does seem to be an important piece in the team's offense whenever he is healthy.

If Bernard, who caught 9 of 10 targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, misses any time, expect the Bucs to continue utilizing Leonard Fournette in passing situations.
