Titans: Julio Jones limited snaps due to tightness

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones was held out of the majority of the second half in Week 3 due to muscle tightness, per comments from head coach Mike Vrabel.

What It Means:

Jones missed about half of the third quarter and didn't play at all in the fourth during the Titans' win over the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday. "Guys go through games, guys get tight and I felt like it was in the best interest of our football game that he be available in case of emergency (only)," Vrabel said about Jones. The veteran receiver logged a season-low 33 snaps in the contest, but Vrabel made it clear that it wasn't related to performance. The Titans play the New York Jets in Week 4 and they will release their first practice report on Wednesday. A.J. Brown is reportedly considered week-to-week with a hamstring strain.

The Jets are allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points per game to the wide receiver position this season and they rank 16th against the pass in numberFire's advanced rankings. Julio is averaging 6.0 targets through three games with the Titans and he has a $6,700 salary on FanDuel in Week 4. Among the 79 receivers with double-digit targets this season, Julio is 13th in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
