Panthers rule out Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) for Week 5
The Carolina Panthers have ruled out running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
McCaffrey was able to put in limited practices each day this week, but was tagged as doubtful heading into the day and was ruled out ahead of kickoff. McCaffrey does seem to be trending towards a Week 6 return.
With McCaffrey inactive, expect the Panthers to rely on rookie Chuba Hubbard to handle the majority of the backfield touches, with Royce Freeman mixing in. Hubbard has a $6,700 salary on FanDuel and is projected to score 11.6 fantasy points.
