Alex Collins (hip, glute) uncertain for Seahawks in Week 7

Seattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins (hip, glute) is uncertain for Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints next Monday night, per head coach Pete Carroll.

What It Means:

Carroll says Collins "took a couple big hits'' after rumbling for 101 rushing yards and a score on 20 carries during Sunday's overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Collins left late in the game and the Seahawks will likely limit him at practice this week, but he does have the advantage of an extra day of rest. Carroll said Rashaad Penny (calf) will return from injured reserve this week, so Penny would presumably be the lead back next Monday if Collins joins Chris Carson (neck, IR) on the sidelines.

Collins scored 16.3 FanDuel points in Week 6 and he has averaged the fourth-most Rushing Net Expected Points per carry (0.23) among all running backs with at least 10 attempts this week. Despite leaving early Sunday night, Collins has still handled 76.1% of Seattle's running back rushes in two games without Carson. Looking ahead, the Saints are ranked in the top-10 in terms of fewest FanDuel points allowed per game to the running back position this season.
