Case Keenum to start Week 7 for Browns in place of Baker Mayfield (shoulder)
Cleveland Browns quarterback Case Keenum will start Week 7 against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.
Baker Mayfield is dealing with a torn labrum on a short week, so Keenum will make his first start since he was with Washington in 2019. He isn't necessarily an attractive streaming option, but Keenum does have plenty of familiarity with Kevin Stefanski's system from their time together with the Minnesota Vikings.
Keenum recorded a 64.8 completion percentage and averaged 6.9 yards per attempt with a 4.5% touchdown rate in his last year as a starter. The Broncos are allowing the second-fewest FanDuel points per game to the quarterback position this season and they rank 15th in Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points allowed per drop back. Keenum has a $5,000 salary on FanDuel for Thursday's one-game slate.
