Browns' Odell Beckham (shoulder) facing 'uphill battle' for Thursday
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham (shoulder) is facing an "uphill battle" to play Thursday night against the Denver Broncos, reports James Palmer of NFL Network.
Beckham hasn't been able to practice all week and it looks like he will join an inactive list that already includes Baker Mayfield (shoulder), Nick Chubb (calf), and Kareem Hunt (calf). The Browns are expected to activate Jarvis Landry (knee) off the injured list ahead of Thursday's game, per Palmer, and he should step in as the WR1 and focal point of the offense. Donovan Peoples-Jones will likely start across Landry and Anthony Schwartz will join them in three-wide sets.
Landry logged an 86% snap rate and 17% target share in Week 1 without Beckham. numberFire's models expect Landry to lead the Browns in targets (6.9) versus the Broncos and have him projected at 8.8 FanDuel points. He has a $10,000 salary on Thursday's one-game slate.
