Patriots: Rhamondre Stevenson status based on practice performance
New England Patriots rookie running back Rhamondre Stevenson's game-day status is determined by his performance at practice during the week, per running backs coach Ivan Fears.
What It Means:
The Patriots made Stevenson a healthy scratch in Week 7 after the rookie missed a block the previous week that resulted in a sack. Fears essentially said that Stevenson's status will be a week-to-week decision between the fourth-round pick and fellow running back J.J. Taylor. Damien Harris remains the unquestioned lead back in New England's backfield heading into a Week 8 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Stevenson has earned a 61.3 rushing grade and Harris has earned a 75.5 rushing grade from Pro Football Focus this season. Harris is the RB24 in numberFire's Week 8 fantasy rankings.
