Buccaneers expect Rob Gronkowski (back) to play Monday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) is expected to play Monday night against the New York Giants, per Greg Auman of The Athletic.

What It Means:

Auman says Gronkowski and the Buccaneers are "optimistic" that the veteran tight end will make a "healthy return" in Monday night's game. Gronkowski was held out of practice on Saturday after logging full sessions on Thursday and Friday, but the Buccaneers were likely just managing his reps. He hasn't been able to make a positive impact since Week 3.

Gronk averaged 6.7 targets and 16.8 FanDuel points across the first three games. numberFire's models project him for 4.4 targets and Gronk has a $10,000 salary on FanDuel's single-game slate. The Giants are ranked 16th in FanDuel points allowed per game against the tight end position this season.
