Jets' Michael Carter (ankle) expected to miss 2-3 weeks
New York Jets running back Michael Carter has suffered a low-grade high ankle sprain and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
Carter has slowly established himself as the Jets' best running back over the course of the season, but will now be forced to sit out multiple games while he recovers from a high ankle sprain. The rookie has flashed elite vision despite playing behind a struggling offensive line, and has even displayed potential in the passing game so far this season.
Carter was off to a fantastic start in Week 11 prior to his injury, posting 63 yards on just 9 carries while adding a reception for another 2 yards. Carter has shown immense upside in PPR formats for fantasy, finishing a game with 14 targets in his rookie season. With Carter sidelined, the Jets will likely utilize a two-man rotation with Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson.
