Bears expected to start Andy Dalton in Week 12 with Justin Fields (ribs) sidelined
The Chicago Bears are expected to start Andy Dalton at quarterback for the team's Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.
Rookie quarterback Justin Fields suffered, at the very least, a rib injury in the team's Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and is likely to miss Thursday's game against Lions. Dalton, who started the season as the team's QB1, will take back over from Fields on Thanksgiving.
Dalton completed 11 of 23 passes for 201 yards and 2 scores in Week 11 in relief of Fields, but the majority of his production came on a broken play in which receiver Darnell Mooney took a wide receiver screen pass to the house. Expectations for the Bears should remain low in Week 12, even while they play the lowly Lions.
