Panthers bench Cam Newton; P.J. Walker taking over in Week 12
The Carolina Panthers have benched quarterback Cam Newton and replaced him with P.J. Walker.
What It Means:
Newton was unwatchable after the team's first drive in Week 12, looking completely unable to complete a pass and throwing multiple interceptions. Walker will take over at quarterback.
Newton will finish Week 12 with just 5 completions on 21 attempts for 92 yards and 2 interceptions.
