Kyler Murray returns for Cardinals' voluntary workouts
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray returned to the team's training facility Tuesday and is expected to participate in voluntary workouts.
Murray missed the start of the Cardinals' voluntary off-season program last week amid a contract dispute, but head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he expected the quarterback to attend mandatory minicamp later this month. The Cardinals are still in voluntary workouts for now, so Murray's participation is notable. He is fully expected to be the starting quarterback when the Cardinals take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.
Kyler averaged 21.1 FanDuel points per game last season. Among the 44 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs, he ranked 11th in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back (0.21). He averaged the second-fewest Rushing NEP per carry (0.22) out of the 11 quarterbacks with 50-plus carries.
