Jets' Garrett Wilson generating "unbelievable" separation in practice
New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis praised new teammate Garrett Wilson for his work so far in his first offseason, saying the rookie has been creating "unbelievable" separation in camp.
Davis elaborated, "[Wilson] is very special. He's got crazy routes, crazy hands and always focused." Wilson has impressed at every level of the game, coming into college as a five-star receiver recruit before posting multiple productive season at Ohio State. Despite the presences of Davis and second-year receiver Elijah Moore, Wilson could shine as early as his rookie year with the Jets.
Our models project Wilson as the Jets' WR3 and the overall WR66 for the 2022 season behind Moore (WR42) and Davis (WR60), but with a solid line of 81.6 targets, 48 catches, 654.59 yards, and 3.1 touchdowns. The Jets' receiver group is an ambiguous bunch for fantasy, but could have potential if quarterback Zach Wilson takes a step forward this season.
