Auman: 'Wouldn't be surprised' if Tampa Bay's Chris Godwin (knee) opens season on PUP list
According to Greg Auman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) could open the 2022 season on the reserve / PUP list.
Godwin could miss the first four weeks of the 2022 regular season if the Buccaneers feel their wideout's recovery from his ACL injury needs more time. Expect Russell Gage to see a boost in targets behind Mike Evans while Godwin's volume should be in the WR2 range when he is active. Per Fantasy Football Calculator in 12-team point-per-reception leagues, Godwin's current average draft position stands in the fourth round.
For the 2022 season, numberFIre's models currently project Godwin to haul in 75.2 receptions for 866.2 yards and 7.4 touchdowns on 106.3 targets.
