Raiders' Darren Waller (hamstring) planning to play in Week 1
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) is planning to be available for Week 1's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Waller, who is dealing with a hamstring injury amid discussions around a contract extension, is planning to play in Week 1, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Waller has missed time this offseason with a hamstring injury but returned to practice last week. Asked about his preparation for Week 1, Waller said "I’ve been at every meeting, Even with my rehab stuff I’ve been on the field, they had scripts for me. So I’m able to process things in my head, where I’m lining up, where my conversions are. So I’m able to go back on the field and not really feel like I missed a lot of time or have a lot of rust.” Barring a setback, Waller looks ready to go to start the season on Sunday.
Waller's Week 1 projection includes 4.6 receptions, 61.1 yards, 0.4 touchdowns, and 11.0 FanDuel points. His salary is $7,000.
