Seahawks' Kenneth Walker III (hernia) out for Week 1
The Seattle Seahawks have ruled out running back Kenneth Walker III (hernia) for Monday's Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos.
Walker will miss the first game of the season as he continues to recover from a mysterious hernia injury. It's unclear when exactly he will be expected to return, but the Seahawks did not place him on the injured reserve ahead of their Week 1 game, so the hope would be that he is able to return in the first few weeks of the season.
With Walker sidelined, Rashaad Penny should line up as the Seahawks' lead back for Week 1. Penny has a $6,000 salary on FanDuel and is projected to score 13.1 fantasy points against the Broncos. The former first-round pick was the fantasy RB1 in the closing weeks of the 2021 season and will look to build on his shocking breakout this year.
