Broncos' K.J. Hamler (hip, knee) active for Week 1
The Denver Broncos announced that wide receiver K.J. Hamler (hip, knee) will play in their Week 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.
Hamler suffered devastating injuries to his ACL and hip on a single play in 2021, so it's a great sign that he's already active for the first game of the 2022 season. It's hard to project a substantial amount of volume for the talented deep threat, but he does share some similar characteristics with Tyler Lockett, with whom new Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson had a storied connection in their time together in Seattle.
For Week 1, our models project Hamler to finish the game with 5.6 fantasy points as the Broncos' WR3 behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.
