Lions' D'Andre Swift (shoulder) 'could miss some time'
Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift suffered a shoulder sprain in the team's Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and "could miss some time" Tom Pelissero of the NFL reports.
Pelissero added that Swift isn't expected to need surgery to repair his injured shoulder, but it does look like he'll miss at least one game as he recovers. With Swift sidelined, expect Jamaal Williams to carry the bulk of the Lions' backfield work with Craig Reynolds mixing in.
Swift has looked like one of the best backs in the league when healthy this season, but was already dealing with an ankle injury before suffering his shoulder injury. The talented young back currently holds the eighth-most rushing yards in the league with 231 and has ripped off multiple long plays in the Lions' explosive offense already.
