Falcons believe Kyle Pitts suffered MCL sprain in Week 11
The Atlanta Falcons believe tight end Kyle Pitts suffered an MCL sprain in their Week 11 win over the Chicago Bears.
Pitts took a massive hit to his knee during the Falcons' win over the Bears on Sunday, but it appears like the young tight end was able to avoid sustaining a serious injury. He was spotted on the sidelines after the injury participating in various physical activities, but did not return after taking the big hit. His status for Week 12 will be worth monitoring, but it seems like he could miss a game or two as he recovers.
While Pitts has not lived up to the lofty expectations fantasy managers had for him this offseason, he has still managed to draw the sixth-most targets (59) at the tight end position so far this season. Unfortunately, he and quarterback Marcus Mariota have only been able to connect on 28 of those passes for 356 yards and 2 touchdowns. There are better days ahead for Pitts, but they may not come this season.
