Bears' Justin Fields (shoulder) day-to-day after MRI testing

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Monday that quarterback Justin Fields will be day-to-day after suffering a shoulder injury during the team's Week 11 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

What It Means:

Fields appeared to injure and then aggravate his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the final drive of Sunday's loss, and was seen being carted to the locker room immediately after the game. He was still able to do some press after the game despite the injury, and after MRI testing done earlier today the team now considers their quarterback to be day-to-day. It's a huge relief to hear after Fields' recent emergence into fantasy stardom, but he could still miss some time if the Bears decide to be cautious with his health.

Fields' season did not start well, but he has been among the very best quarterbacks in fantasy since Week 7; he has had over 20 fantasy points in every game since then, and even had back-to-back games with over 40 fantasy points. He'll draw a tough matchup in Week 12 against the New York Jets if he is able to suit up, but he has proven to be capable of producing numbers for fantasy even against strong defenses.
