What It Means:
Mayfield will join his third career team after several injuries occurred to their quarterback depth. Expect the 27-year old to at least play a backup role behind Bryce Perkins if Wolford were to miss any time with current neck discomfort.
On 206 attempts this season, Mayfield is currently ranked 35th among his position with a 52.2 Pro Football Focus offensive rating while also accounting for a 69.0% adjusted completion percentage and a 1.4% big time throw rate.
