MRIs come back negative for Chargers' Austin Ekeler (shoulder) after Week 15
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said Monday that MRIs done on running back Austin Ekeler's shoulder came back negative following the team's Week 15 game against the Tennessee Titans.
Ekeler briefly exited Sunday's win and was seen entering the Chargers' medical tent, but returned to the game without an injury designation. The team ran extra tests on Monday to verify their star running back's health, and it seems like he should be good to go in Week 16.
Ekeler missed a series of snaps down by the Titans' goal line in Week 15, but still managed to score a touchdown of his own later in the contest. He finished the day with 12 carries, 58 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 receptions, and 12 receiving yards.
