Jets' Leonard Williams feeling more comfortable in 2015

New York Jets defensive end Leonard Williams says he feels more comfortable than he did last season, his rookie year.

What It Means:

Defensive line coach Pepper Johnson has also seen a change in Williams this offseason. "He came in with a maturity, a professionalism," said Johnson. "But he just has taken it to another level." Williams had an incredible rookie year by all accounts, but the 22-year-old still sees room for improvement, particularly as a pass-rusher. "I know the playbook now, so I don’t have to think as much when I’m out there, I can just play," said Williams. "I think I did really well in the running game last year, so during the offseason I’ve been working on my pass rushing."

He's a huge part of a quality Jets' defense, which finished last year ranked sixth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play. He picked up 63.0 total tackles and 3.0 sacks.
