J.T. Thomas

J.T. Thomas is on Giants' roster bubble

New York Giants weak-side linebacker J.T. Thomas is on the roster bubble, NJ Advance Media's James Kratch believes.

What It Means:

Thomas was an 11-game starter last season, but Kratch reports he has been passed on the depth chart by Jonathan Casillas. He also missed time during the offseason program with an undisclosed injury. The Giants do not have much quality, but they have plenty of bodies at linebacker. Thomas will have to stay healthy to have any shot at a roster spot.

Our algorithms agree with the rumblings out of Giants' practices, as they project Casillas for 88.17 tackles, 1.56 sacks and 3.04 passes defensed in 2016. The Giants ranked 24th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
