Aaron Lynch

49ers' Aaron Lynch suspended for four games

The National Football League suspended San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aaron Lynch four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

What It Means:

"We are confident that he will learn from this matter and that he understands what is expected of him moving forward," general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. Last year, Lynch tied Ahmad Brooks for the team lead in sacks, but earned more quarterback pressures (62) than all of San Francisco's other outside linebackers combined (57). He has been an impactful pass-rusher on very limited volume for the 49ers since he entered the league. The third-year pass-rusher is eligible to return against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

Our algorithms project Lynch for 69.34 tackles and 6.72 sacks in 2016. The 49ers' defense is shaping up to be a team defense to avoid at all costs in fantasy leagues.
