Roy Helu is on the Raiders' roster bubble
Oakland Raiders running back Roy Helu is on the team's roster bubble heading into training camp.
Before he can even compete for a role, Helu needs to get healthy. He underwent surgery on both of his hips in February. He's expected to be ready for the start of camp but faces an uphill climb for a roster spot, even in what looks like a lackluster backfield.
Helu earned just 33 opportunities last year despite a barren depth chart, with a -0.05 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry mark on 17 attempts and 0.44 Reception NEP per target on 16 targets.
