Todd Davis remains favorite to start for Broncos
Denver Broncos inside linebacker Todd Davis is still the favorite for the starting job opposite veteran Brandon Marshall.
The Broncos did not add anyone of note at inside linebacker, which opened up a starting role for Davis, a former undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State. Davis has earned nothing but praise so far this offseason, but he will still have to prove himself in camp to hold the job. Zaire Anderson and Corey Nelson are still options inside.
Our algorithms project Nelson to seize the starting job, with 79.15 tackles in 2016. Our algorithms project the Denver defense to carry its number-one ranking from 2015 over to 2016, as we project them to top the league once again in Defensive Net Expected Points.
