Browns trying Pierre Desir at free safety
Cleveland Browns cornerback Pierre Desir is moving to free safety, head coach Hue Jackson said.
The Browns are shaking things up under new defensive coordinator Ray Horton. "We like him, he’s long, he’s talented," said Jackson. "He has cover skills, but seeing him play safety, too, is exciting to me because he gives us a different element back in the middle." Desir made six starts at corner in 2015.
Desir is ticketed for a reserve role, either as a cornerback or safety, so this is a way to get him on the field more. Prior to this news, our algorithms projected Desir for 23 tackles, 1.06 interceptions and 4 passes defended.
