Bengals' Andrew Billings (knee) undergoes surgery, is out indefinitely

Cincinnati Bengals rookie nose tackle Andrew Billings underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus, and is out indefinitely.

What It Means:

It's quite possible Billings is done for the season. He'll almost certainly be headed to injured reserve, where he'll be a candidate to be the Bengals' late-season activation under the new I.R./return rules. There's no real threat to Domata Peko's snaps, but he's not a real asset in IDP fantasy football.

Our algorithms project Peko for 40.25 tackles and 5.15 sacks in 2016. The Bengals ranked 14th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
