Patriots' Jabaal Sheard dealing with sprained MCL
New England Patriots defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard has suffered a sprained MCL.
The injury happened on August 11, in the Patriots' first preseason game. With Chandler Jones in a new home, Rob Ninkovich already injured and now Sheard at risk of missing regular season action, the Patriots' defensive line is incredibly thin.
Sheard recorded eight sacks in 13 games in his first season with the Patriots, and before the injury our models expected him to surpass that this season, projecting him for 45.66 tackles and 8.77 sacks.
