Elandon Roberts likely starter for Patriots
New England Patriots rookie linebacker Elandon Roberts is expected to replace linebacker Jamie Collins in the starting lineup.
Roberts was the 214th pick in this year's draft. He's undersized at 6'0", 235 pounds, but those around the team have noted how ferocious he is as a downhill player. Roberts' play is thought to be one of the main reasons Collins was dealt to Cleveland. He'll now see a big uptick in snaps. Kyle Van Noy could also see some work, after being acquired from the Detroit Lions in a trade.
The Patriots' defense ranks 11th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play through Week 8.
