Tevin Coleman (hamstring) ruled out for Falcons in Week 9
Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Coleman did some rehab work this week, but he never had a legitimate chance to play on the short week. Look for Devonta Freeman again to handle the majority of the work Thursday night as a surefire fantasy stud. Terron Ward will be the backup. Coleman should have a chance to play Week 10.
Even in a clear backup role, our algorithms project Ward to finish in the top-30 of fantasy running backs for Week 9. We project him for 32 yards from scrimmage and 0.40 touchdowns on five total touches.
