Bears' Jerrell Freeman slapped with 4-game PED ban
Chicago Bears inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman has been suspended by the NFL for four games due to a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Freeman joins Alshon Jeffery as the second Bear in as many weeks to get busted for doping. Freeman has been a great addition for Chicago this season, who continues to be decimated by injuries. Fourth-round rookie Nick Kwiatkoski will likely replace Freeman in the starting unit.
The Bears gave up 9.11 Net Expected Points on 36 passing attempts in a Week 11 loss to the New York Giants, according to numberFire Live. Entering the week, their defense ranked 15th in Defensive NEP allowed per play.
