Saints' Kenny Vaccaro drops appeal, suspended rest of season
New Orleans Saints defensive back Kenny Vaccaro has dropped the appeal of his four-game ban for Performance-Enhancing Drugs and will be out for Weeks 14-17.
This upgrades the fantasy outlook of Cameron Brate, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Saints in both Weeks 14 and 16. Vaccaro will only be able to return this season if New Orleans earns an unlikely playoff bid. He showed considerable improvement in his fourth year in the league.
The Saints' secondary ranks 24th in the league in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play heading into Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers. numberFire's models currently project Brate for 41 yards and 0.31 touchdowns on 3 catches in Week 14.
