Buccaneers sign defensive tackle Tony McDaniel to one-year deal
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Tony McDaniel to a one-year contract.
McDaniel started 34 games the past two seasons for the Seahawks defense. He was released after the Seahawks awarded contract extensions to Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner. McDaniel will compete for the starting spot next to All-Pro Gerald McCoy in Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers ranked second in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points metric last season. McDaniel adds another talented lineman along the defensive line to further solidify the Tampa Bay run defense.
