T.J. Ward (concussion) and Derek Wolfe (neck) injured for Broncos
Denver Broncos strong safety T.J. Ward is in the concussion protocol, and according to Denver 7's Troy Renck, there's "no guarantee" defensive end Derek Wolfe (neck) will play in Week 16.
Ward played 74-of-75 defensive snaps in Week 15, so it's unclear when he got hurt. There's still no guarantee he'll be through the concussion protocol by then. Will Parks would draw the start at strong safety if Ward can't get the nod in Week 16. Wolfe suffered two stingers on Sunday and didn't practice on Wednesday. Head coach Gary Kubiak sounded slightly more optimistic about his status, however.
The Broncos' defense ranks second in our models this week, as we project them to hold the Kansas City Chiefs to 17.24 points and less than 350 yards in this matchup.
