Cardinals say Tyrann Mathieu's knee is '96 percent'
Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu's surgically-repaired right knee is "96 percent," estimates head coach Bruce Arians.
Mathieu's shoulder, however, is back to 100 percent, Arians said. He never seemed to be at full strength this season after tearing his ACL in December 2015. Despite being just 24-years-old, Mathieu has already torn both his ACLs four years into his NFL career.
Mathieu was limited to 10 games on the year, but the Cardinals still finished ranked ninth in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
